1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Pet Realm. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform, website, and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service") operated by Pet Realm ("we," "our," or "us"), located in the Republic of Maldives.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pet Realm.

2. User Accounts and Registration

2.1 Account Creation

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• One person or business may maintain only one account

2.2 Business Accounts

Pet shop owners and service providers must provide valid business registration documents and comply with all applicable Maldivian business licensing requirements.

3. Products and Services

3.1 Product Listings

Sellers are responsible for providing accurate product descriptions, pricing, and availability. All products must comply with Maldivian import regulations and animal welfare standards.

3.2 Service Providers

Professional service providers (veterinarians, groomers, trainers) must maintain appropriate licenses and certifications required by Maldivian law and professional bodies.

3.3 Quality Standards

• All products must be safe for animals and meet quality standards
• Pet food must be within expiration dates and properly stored
• Services must be performed by qualified professionals
• Emergency veterinary services must be available 24/7 as advertised

4. Orders, Payments, and Refunds

4.1 Order Processing

• Orders are subject to acceptance by individual sellers
• Prices are displayed in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) and include applicable taxes
• Delivery times vary based on product availability and island location
• Special handling may be required for live animals or perishable products

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept bank transfers to licensed Maldivian banks. Payment verification through receipt upload is required to process orders. Cash on delivery may be available for select locations.

4.3 Refunds and Returns

• Unopened products may be returned within 14 days of delivery
• Perishable items (pet food, medications) cannot be returned once opened
• Service cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance
• Refunds are processed through the original payment method
• Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless the product is defective

5. Liability and Disclaimers

5.1 Platform Disclaimer

Pet Realm acts as a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers. We do not directly sell products or provide veterinary services. While we vet our partners, we cannot guarantee the quality of all products or services listed.

5.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Maldivian law, Pet Realm's liability for any damages arising from your use of our Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

5.3 Emergency Situations

Pet Realm is not responsible for providing emergency veterinary care. In case of pet emergencies, contact local emergency veterinary services immediately.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through our platform. Continued use of our Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
